A New Reality

No matter how far advanced our science and technology may become, it will never be able to meet or exceed the knowledge and power of our Creator.

Whether you believe in a Higher Power or not, there is no denying that there is much that we still do not know or can explain. And even though we know so much more than we ever have before, it is still just a drop in the ocean of omniscience.

Once again, the whole of humanity has been forced to acknowledge just how weak and powerless we are in the face of the global pandemic known as the novel (brand new, first of its kind) coronavirus or COVID 19

This micro-organism has shaken our world and is bringing us to our collective knees. And instead of coming together in unity and harmony toward solving the problem, the nations of the world are taking steps to further isolate themselves in a futile effort to survive the pandemic. Yet, in all reality, such actions are merely ensuring that a global community of genuine humanitarianism will never be realized. As a result, we will die in our self-imposed isolation, destroying ourselves more swiftly and assuredly, than any contrived WMD (weapon of mass destruction).

Human pride (vanity) is the most destructive force of all. Satan used it to tempt Adam and Eve. He even tried it on the Son of Man. We use pride to incite others to take specific actions they might not otherwise consider. Pride is what keeps most people from ever acknowledging their need for a Power greater than themselves. As a result, they succumb to corrupt thoughts and practices that destroy not only their own life, but also the lives of those with whom they come in contact.

Humanism declares that mankind has made significant social and moral advances and continues on a path toward utopia. So many desire to believe such is true, but an honest assessment reveals there is no evidence to support such a claim. There is, however, incontrovertible evidence to the contrary. Our pride keeps us from acknowledging the destructive reality of our "human" nature. We not only turn a blind eye to our past indiscretions, but we increase the severity of our inhumane treatment of one another to the point that we think nothing of killing one another or even the unborn. "It's all good" if and when it removes the obstacles that interfere with our pursuit of pleasure.

There is a new reality that many are looking forward to, and others are hoping will never come to pass. Everyone reading this knows within their heart-of-hearts the reality of which I speak. The Day of Accountability, when everyone will have to answer for how they lived their life. The Day when those whose name is written in THE BOOK OF LIFE will rejoice that they opted to live life as it was meant to be lived -- in honor and in deference to the One who created them and made their forgiveness possible. The Day when those who opted to reject and ignore the free gift of salvation offered by their Creator will realize the new reality of the utter destruction they brought on themselves.

Are you prepared for THE NEW REALITY?!?

A Gentle Reminder

A gentle reminder from a letter written long ago, to a group of people long since gone, that is still worth heeding today.

The Fourth Quarter

Truly Thankful

In Christ we can be truly thankful.
